THIS WEEK'S STORIES

Super Storm
BtN will bring you the latest on the storm that has destroyed parts of the east coast of America. We'll also look at what impact it might have on the Presidential election which is just days away. Presented by Nathan Bazley
Asian Century
Last week there was a lot of talk about the Asian Century and if that's not a term you've heard before it's probably one you'll hear again. The Prime Minister thinks that in the years to come Asian countries will be leading the way in business, politics and culture. So where will Australia fit in the Asian century? And what has it got to do with you? Presented by Sarah Larsen
Homework Debate
Should primary school kids be made to do homework? While some reckon it's important to practice what you do at school, some recent studies have shown that doing homework when you're in primary school won't actually help you get good marks when you get older. So who's right? Sarah has a look at the homework debate. Presented by Sarah Larsen
Organ Farming
It's no surprise to learn that if you damage some parts of your body they'll never heal. Some internal organs are like that, and of course if you lose a finger or an ear it won't heal either. But amazingly scientists have come up with a solution. We take a look at some special labs where scientists have started to grow replacement organs. Presented by Sarah Larsen
Robot Boy
Have you ever wondered how movie makers create life-like characters for their films? They often use something called 'animatronics', which involves the use of robots. Tash caught up with an Aussie school boy who makes some pretty impressive robots. Presented by Natasha Thiele

This Weeks BtN Special

Overseas Spotlight
We travel overseas in this BtN Special to examine the issues that affect both the locals and Australians alike. From Bali, where we visit the other side of tourism, to Burma where Aussie scientists are assisting the locals to manage their pests naturally, to countries that suffer the ravages of malaria, there's often an Australian connection.
