Friday 23 November 2012 Invitation from Adam to Rock for Dollo My visit to the Dollo Ado refugee camp in October was, without wishing to sound trite, life changing. Dollo isn't a refugee camp - it's a district of 5 camps - each of 30 to 40 THOUSAND inhabitants. That's right, the second largest refugee population in the world with over 170,000 Somalis who have fled their devastated homeland. But I came back charged to make a difference and that's what Rock for Dollo is about. For the first two Friday nights in December, I'll be breaking out my first ever on stage power chords and rocking riffs alongside the very groovy "Original Faux Pas". Tickets are $50 and every cent is going towards moving Somali refugees out of tents and into bamboo houses. Hope to see you there! James Valentine is tuning up his saxophone for a live performance and Richard Glover will present his end of year Thank God it's Friday show. The first hundred visitors on the day will receive a double pass to the 702 ABC Sydney preview of the new film Hitchcock about the life and loves of Alfred Hitchcock.
