Another week of magnificent music ahead for you, including tonight's season opening concert from the Sydney Symphony with Vladimir Ashkenazy conducting Sibelius, Debussy and Faure LIVE from the Sydney Opera House at 8pm. Sunday 3pm - Songmakers Australia

This week's Best of Sunday Live is from last May In Melbourne. Songmakers Australia is made up of Merlyn Quaife, soprano, Sally-Anne Russell, mezzo-soprano, Nicholas Dinopoulos, bass-baritone and pianist Andrea Katz. The program includes Other Love Songs by Stephen Hough and then Brahms' Neue Liebeslieder.

Friday 8 February - 8pm
Evening Concert - Sydney Symphony Master Series: LIVE
Live from the Sydney Opera House mezzo-soprano Jacqueline Porter and the Sydney Symphony perform Faure's Pelleas and Melisande, Op 80: Suite, Debussy's La mer - Three Symphonic Sketches and Sibelius's Legends, Op 22 (Lemminkainen Suite).

Saturday 9 February - 8pm
Saturday Evening Concert - Shan Deng and Wei Deng
At the Tasmania Conservatorium Hall, Hobart, last year, Shan Deng (piano) and Wei Deng (pipa) perform a selection including Wang's Dance Music of Yi Group, Biguang's Liuyang River, arr Jianzhong Wang and Being's The Wave Playing with the Sand.

Sunday 10 February - 1pm
Sunday Afternoon Concert - London Meets Shanghai
The BBC Symphony Orchestra and Li-Wei Qin (cello) are conducted by Long Yu in this performance in the Barbican Hall, London. We'll hear Cockaigne's (In London Town) Overture, Qigang Chen's Reflets d'un temps disparu (Reflection of a Lost Time), Yiu's The London Citizen Exceedingly Injured and Haydn's Symphony No 104 in D (London).

Monday 11 February - 8pm
Evening Concert - Huntington Festival 2012
From Mudgee we hear Narek Arutyunian (clarinet), mezzo-soprano Fiona Campbell, Andrea Lam  (piano), Anthony Marwood, (violin/director), Ian Munro (piano), the ANAM Chamber Orchestra and the Enso String Quartet perform a selection including Haydn's String Quartet in C, Op 20 No 2.

Tuesday 12 February - 1pm
Afternoon Concert - Huntington Festival 2012
This afternoon's concert includes Purcell's What power art thou?, Dowland's Now, o now, I needs must part, Barber's Dover Beach,  Weber's Clarinet Quintet in B flat, J182 and Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings in C.

Wednesday 13 February -1pm
Afternoon Concert - Haydn at the Royal Festival Hall
Haydn's The Creationis performed by the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightement, Sophie Bevan (soprano), Andrew Kennedy (tenor), Andrew Fischer-Williams (bass) and the Schola Cantorum of Oxford. Conducted by Adam Fischer.

Thursday 14 February -1pm
 Afternoon Concert - Huntington Festival  2012
From Mudgee, today's concert includes Ginastera's String Quartet No 2, Francaix's Clarinet Quintet, Mozart's Piano Concerto No 14 in E flat and Handel's Theodora: As with rosy steps.

Friday 15 February - 1:30pm
Afternoon  Concert - Australian chamber Orchestra - LIVE
Live from City Recital Hall Sydney, Richard Tognetti (electric violin) and the Australian Chamber Orchestra perform Haydn's Symphony No 49 in F minor (La Passione), Brett Dean's Electric Preludes, Mozart's Violin Concerto No 3 in G and Symphony No 25 in G minor.
