Our teacher resources are mapped to the Australian Curriculum

Each week two stories are accompanied by teacher resources which are linked to the Australian Curriculum. It's an easy way to integrate BtN into your teaching and learning program.

Available Tuesday morning from the Teacher page.

THIS WEEK'S STORIES

North Korea
BtN takes a look at the tense political relationship with North Korea. North Korea is preparing for a nuclear weapons test which has drawn lots of criticism from around the world. Some countries say they won't allow North Korea to build a nuclear weapon. So does that mean there could be a war? Nathan Bazley reporting
Opinion Polls
You could forgive the Government for being a bit stressed right now. There's an election in 8 months and the latest polls say only about a third of Australians want them to lead. So how accurate are these political polls and how are they done? Sarah Larsen reporting
Social Media
When Tasmania was hit by bushfires over the summer, lots of people turned to social media. It quickly emerged as a great way to find out the latest information and became a useful tool to let friends know you were ok. Some say the emergency services should embrace social media even more during disasters, but others say it can be problematic. Natasha Thiele reporting
Science Kids
We visit a primary school that has decided to teach high school level science to kids. So why have they decided to run this special program? And can kids really be expected to understand high-level science at a young age? Sarah Larsen reporting
Shark Patrol
If you're a regular beachgoer then you've probably noticed the shark spotter planes that fly up and down the coastline. But have you ever wondered what they're actually doing up there? We joined one of their flights and discovered that the people behind the controls are younger than you might think. Natasha Thiele reporting
