Hello, Natasha here,
Thanks for your company this week on Life Matters. The shifting sands and subjectivities surrounding truth-telling....our talkback on lying certainly took us there today. If we outed the Tooth Fairy and Santa while you were driving with your children in the car – mea culpa – we hope that didn't have consequences you weren't planning for!
Speaking of spinning the truth, Daniel Pink joins me on Monday to discuss the art and science of persuasion. He's written To Sell is Human: The Surprising Truth About Persuading, Convincing and Influencing Others. Also on the show, have you ever looked at the fun that kids have playing team sports and thought "I wish I could do that but" .....too old, too un-coordinated, not fit enough, never played, don't know the rules, too nervous? Prepare to be pushed. Some 40 - 50 something soccer newbies are standing-by to inspire possibilities.
