Getting the opportunity to connect with people in so many different walks of life is such a great gift to be given. It means you can share laughs and concern, stories and advice, talent and enthusiasm. Everyone has a bad day at work, but thankfully they're few and far between for me.
One of the things I love the most is getting out of the studio for outside broadcasts as it gives me the opportunity to meet many of you and the people putting on extraordinary events. This Tuesday we'll be in Rundle Mall for a new take on our annual Womad warm-up, giving you a snapshot of what's on offer as part of our normal Afternoons program, including a live sneak peek at some of the musical acts featured. So pop along and say hello - we'd love to see you and you could win a ticket to Womad at the same time!
The people you work with are often more important than the job itself and I'm really lucky to have the best ever team on the Afternoons show in producers Amy Verrall and Kate Bailey. They're talented producers and wonderful people and along with the wider 891 team, we have a lot of fun too. I like to think you can tell we enjoy our work family. Drop by for a visit! Sonya.

| | Evenings with Peter Goers live at the Fringe Opening Night Parade
The Fringe Opening Parade means one thing - it's festival time in Adelaide! Tune in on Friday February 15 from 7pm to hear Peter Goers and the Evenings team broadcasting live from King William Street. If you plan on heading down, the official parade departs North Terrace at 8.30pm and heads to Victoria Square. If you can't get there, Peter and guests will give you 'float by float' coverage and a swag of other Fringe guests to keep you entertained. >>more
