This week we kick off our new programming for 2013 with a big, bold idea that if you're lucky, could be coming to a school near you. It's called Big History, an effort to captivate kids big and small, to see the grandeur of the human story starting right back at the Big Bang and lurching forward through all manner of twists and turns: science plus facts plus depth: the lot - the grand narrative returns!
Also Laura Tingle will join us to foreshadow our own cultural narrative about to unfold - much more, we hope, than an 8 month election campaign.
And a real treat: the great biographer Victoria Glendinning has turned her attention to that remarkable imperialist-and-much more, Stamford Raffles and why we should know more about him.
