January 2013 Happy 2013! Welcome to the first of our enewsletters of the year.  We have lots of terrific stories and activities planned for 2013 - starting with this weekend's Australia Day programming.  Australian Stories Whether you're in the city, on the coast or in the bush, there is something for everyone on ABC Local Radio this weekend.  Friday night we'll bring you the Australia Day concert from 7pm. On Saturday morning, Paul Dale is off and running in the Australia Day Fun Run in Darwin and Brendan Phelan will meet some new Aussies in Central Australia. Then after AM, you can hear a special interview with the Territory's Young Australian of the Year nominee, Jessica Mauboy. We'll bring you live cricket coverage and the Australian Open tennis finals. Flix in the Wet As the wet season descends, it's time to once again enjoy the best of Australian and world cinema. Presented by the Darwin Film Society, Flix in the Wet runs each Sunday afternoon in the BCC cinemas in Mitchell Street.  The 2013 program includes films from France, Argentina, Sweden, Japan, UK and South Africa; plus two new Australian features - Dead Europe by Tony Krawitz and The King is Dead by Rolf de Heer.
