TEDxPerth – the local version of the global TED talks phenomenon is this Saturday! With a range of fascinating speakers and performers and TED Talks video, the day is set to be a fantastic showcase of ideas worth spreading. Although this event is sold out, we have another 2 double passes to giveaway to come along and be a part of the day. The WASO and WASO chorus will perform music from the movie The Pirates of the Caribbean, audience favourite Tchaikovsky's explosive 1812 Overture and much more. Hosted by our own James Lush , you can bring along your chairs and blankets and relax on Langley Park to the magnificent sounds of WASO. It's a free event for the whole family! Big Bash cricket on 720 The excitement of twenty20 cricket is back – and it's heading to Perth! The Twenty20 Big Bash kicks off round 1 at the WACA on Sunday 9th December with the Perth Scorchers vs. Adelaide Strikers, live from 6.00pm. Round 2 from the WACA on Wednesday 12th December sees the Scorchers take on the Melbourne Stars from 5.00pm. For all the live action, tune in to Grandstand on 720 ABC Perth.
