Are you creative and enjoy making short films? We are giving you the chance to make a 15 second promo film about 612 ABC Brisbane, for the chance to have it screened at the Brisbane International Film Festival. Aside from the privilege of having the promo screened at selected BIFF movie events, the winner will also receive an invitation to attend opening and closing gala parties with a guest, plus a double pass to see 12 films at the festival. To sweeten the deal even more, as part of the prize there's a $200 voucher from the ABC shop, and 612 ABC Brisbane branded merchandise.  |  | School Band and Choir competition - who will win?
The finalists have been announced in the 612 ABC Brisbane School Band and Choir competition for 2012. They are: Primary Schools - St Michael's College of Caboolture, All Saints of Boonah, and Mary MacKillop Primary School of Birkdale. High Schools - Somerville House (Somerville Strings), Kedron State High School, Sheldon College They will be performing on Saturday 27th October to win the coveted School Band and Choir competition trophy, and you'll be able to hear their performances on Sunday 28th October from 4-5pm on 612 ABC Brisbane digital and on the 612 ABC Brisbane online stream. >>more  |  | | |
