Kids In Care Christmas Appeal starts Monday

From Monday 5 November you can help bring a smile to the faces of more than 8000 abused or neglected Queensland children spending Christmas away from home by supporting the Queensland Government Kids in Care Christmas Appeal.

We asked Spencer why he thought it important to support the 2012 Kids in Care Christmas Appeal ?

"I love Christmas and while it might sound a bit new-age, I am one of those people who prefers giving to receiving presents. Therefore, I'm so chuffed that 612 ABC Brisbane is getting  behind the appeal this year.

Buying one extra present, just one, is the very least each of us in Brisbane can do to help those in our city who are less fortunate than ourselves.

No matter how tough things are, there is always someone worse off than you. So I hope all our listeners get behind the appeal and purchase one extra present this Christmas," said Spencer Howson.

More details on the 2012 Kids in Care Christmas Appeal will be announced on Monday so stay tuned.
