| | Our OzAsia Festival lotus flower project
We're hoping to cover Elder Park with colourful lotus flowers, but we need your help. We're encouraging people to fold their own paper lotus to add to the installation project. Try your hand at folding during the event, or do it at home and bring it along to Elder Park on Sunday September 30 from 3pm - 7pm. We'll also accept delivery of paper lotus flowers ahead of the event at the ABC studios in Collinswood, the ABC Shop in Adelaide, Marion or Modbury or the Adelaide Festival Centre reception until Friday 28 September. >>more

Alert all your gardening friends! The next ABC Gardeners Market is on Saturday 13 October, 2012. Bring your extra coins, gardening questions and wander amongst the one hundred wonderful stalls offering a variety of seedlings, plants, small tress, gardening products and useful information. Ashley Walsh will broadcast live from 08.30 to 11.00 am with Talkback Gardening with Jon Lamb plus home hints advice with builder Rose Squire and the quiz. Then after 11am watch Jon on stage as he continues the helpful live advice with Talkback Gardening Extra until midday with local experts James Smith, Trevor Nottle and Linda Neiman as they discuss backyard critters, exotics and native plants. Proceeds of the October event will go The Smith Family's Learning Clubs which includes homework support, tutoring and numeracy and literacy assistance. >>more
