A DEADLY WAIT
Reporter: Brendan King
Hundreds of heroin addicts in NSW have been at risk of dying from an overdose because of long waiting lists for methadone treatment. Others have been forced to move hundreds of kilometres to get treatment. There are claims that addicts in the city of Newcastle have died as a direct result of an acute shortage of methadone places.

The AMA has come out on AM this week to criticise social media platforms over their alcohol advertising policies and also call for a raising of the age limit for drinking alcohol to 25 years. Di Martin looked at our alcohol culture in her program The big binge .

GUN CULTURE
Triple J's Hack program did a great story on the growing gun culture in Australia this week - in particular amongst young people. Ian Townsend also looked at the huge numbers of guns being imported into Australia last year in his program Guns are back.
