We will keep you up to date with what is going on around the state today and over the weekend. Below is the link to our dedicated emergency page with fire, weather, road alerts and coastal wind warnings. And for the extreme hot weather there's also information on planning for a heatwave. There will be regular updates during the cricket as well as during the streamed programming which can be accessed via your computer and your smartphone.
As we move into the new year, programs and program staff are starting to get back into gear. Here's the week at a glance with link to the full program schedule below:
The Great Australian Songbook Our friends at the Clarence City Council in the south of the state invite you to tell them your favourite Australian songs. They are putting together 'the Great Australian Songbook', in other words, the 30 most popular Australian songs. And on Australia Day, Saturday, January 26 they'll present a great big free concert on the Bellerive Boardwalk showcasing the songs with performances by local musicians. Toulouse Lautrec in Canberra We will start the program year with a wonderful statewide competition for art lovers and the prize is a trip for two to Toulouse Lautrec: Paris and the Moulin Rouge at the NGA in Canberra. And as we will also be celebrating the re-opening of our own Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, we are going to link the two big events. All will be revealed on January 17 so stay tuned. >> Toulouse Lautrec: Paris and the Moulin Rouge
