The 2012 Giving Tree - up and running

This morning we launched the 25th ABC Giving Tree, with special guests former ABC Breakfast presenter, Ric Paterson, Dewayne Everett Smith and the Windermere Primary Choir from Claremont. Continuing with the Royal coverage, Louise Saunders spoke to Karen Goodwin-Roberts, the caterer for Thursday's reception. Peter Gee was delighted to act as taste tester as Karen discussed her menu and brought samples into the studio. Meet Leandro Palacia

ABC Northern Tasmania has welcomed Leandro Palacio as our new ABC Open Producer. Leandro has already been out and about meeting and working with members of the community on ABC Open Projects. One which Leandro has taken part in, 500 Words: Someone Who Shaped Me, gives a lovely insight in his relationship with his Dad and well, shaving.

Music on Your Afternoon

Your Afternoon are featuring Hobart based band, The Grass Line on Tuesday just after 3:30pm. The three piece group are performing as part of a Movember fundraising gig in Hobart this Friday as well as on the APRA Peoples stage at this year's Marion Bay Falls Festival. Jo Spargo will be presenting Your Afternoon on Friday while Penny is away.
