612 Promo Film competition starts next week
Are you a budding film maker who would love to see your work on the big screen?
From Monday, we will be looking for entries in our 612 Promo Film competition, where you need to create a 15 second promo about 612 ABC Brisbane.
If your promo film about 612 ABC Brisbane is selected as the most creative, then you will win tickets to the Brisbane International Film Festival in November, and your winning promo will be shown at selected BIFF screenings during the festival.
As host for the Commonwealth Games in 1982 Brisbane had a lot to prove, and they set themselves a task to be the biggest and best Commonwealth Games ever to be presented.
And according to the Commonwealth Games Federation website the Brisbane Games are still hailed as one of the very best, thirty years on.
Seasoned country music artist Troy Cassar-Daley is about to step out of his comfort zone and become a bit of a crooner.
Later this month he is going to join forces with the Queensland Pops Orchestra and perform some of his own songs along with classics like Come Fly With Me and I Get A Kick Out Of You .
Be listening to Breakfast with Spencer Howson and Drive with Tim Cox next week for your chance to win a double pass to see Troy Cassar-Daley and the Queensland Pops Orchestra on Saturday 20 October.
Do you ride you bike to work every day? Or are you thinking about joining the cycling revolution but need the motivation to start.

You can also participate in a Ride2Work Day community breakfast at South Bank near Russell Street from 7 - 8.30am, and at University of Queensland Ipswich campus from 7.30 - 9.30am.
