Cocoa Country It is one of the comfort foods Australians reach for in good times and bad. Chocolate is a $2.5 billion a year business in this country, and while there's never been any shortage of local manufacturers, only a handful can claim to be producing 100 per cent homegrown chocolate and they are all at Mossman in Far North Queensland.

Slimy Pests Crop farmers in South Australia's Yorke Peninsula are battling a devastating slimy pestilence with millions of snails damaging crops. When mashed up in the headers these pests are said to resemble a mixture of supaglue and snot, and a couple of wet autumns has meant the problem is now worse than ever.

Norfolk Blue When Robyn Menghetti first moved to Norfolk Island back in 2001, it was to take up the top job as CEO. She certainly didn't see herself staying in the remote spot long-term. However within a couple of years she'd married a local farmer and embarked on an ambitious project. She's now producing a unique breed of cattle, with a history going way back to the early days of settlement.

Full of Beans Despite being a nation obsessed with coffee, farmers say Australians simply aren't drinking the local product.

Bush Telegraph
