This week: The murder trial of prominant Perth lawyer Lloyd Rainey.

Last week he was found not guilty of the murder of his wife Corryn Rainey.

The case transfixed Perth. Because of the unprecedented media coverage Lloyd Rainey convinced the court that it would be impossible to find an untainted jury and that the trial should be heard by judge alone.

One advantage of a judge-alone verdict is we have clear written reasons for the judge's verdict.
